'Nisa' to her friends was one of the victims of
AirAsia plane crash and she left a heartfelt
note which was posted in her Instagram
account just two weeks before she died.
Before the incident, Fauzi wrote "I love you
from 38,000ft" on a napkin, placed on a
cabin window, and took a picture of it with a
wing of the aircraft and blue sky on the
background.
This was uploaded to her social media
account and believed it was a message for her
22-year-old boyfriend named Divo. He was
mentioned several times on Nisa's posts such
as a collage image of 'love divo' words made
out of silhouetted fingers against windows.
Flight QZ8501 was supposed to take
passengers from Indonesia to Singapore but
an unfortunate event happened when it
crashed in the Java Sea taking away the lives
of 162 people onboard. Though, it was not
clear if Khairunnisa's last message was taken
during this flight.
Nisa was a former law student before started
working as a flight attendant for AirAsia.
Local media said that a dead body with her
name tag still pinned on her uniform was
recovered among with four men and three
women. Later on, officials confirmed that it
was Khairunnisa's body.
Fairfax Media spoke to Nisa's father who
described her daughter as 'beautiful and
smart'. They had last seen their daughter 6
weeks ago.
“This is what we expected, and the sooner the
body is returned, the sooner we can have her
back. We plan on burying her back in our
home town, Palembang. We've been promised
they will facilitate it.” Haidar Fauzi added.
Despite the heartbreaking incident happened
to their daughter, he and his wife were not
deeply upset as they believe that they only
borrowed her from God who took her back.
As per the report of Independent, friends and
sympathisers took on their social media
accounts to comment on her picture as the
news of her death spread.
One commenter says, “You’re gone but not
forgotten.”
